Hong Kong Regen Medtech has secured the city’s first manufacturer recognition for an allogeneic mesenchymal stem-cell facility operating to PIC/S Good Manufacturing Practice standards. The plant at Hong Kong Science Park can make advanced therapy products for clinical trials, a milestone highlighted Friday at a showcase attended by more than 200 healthcare, research, investment and regulatory representatives.asianews +1

From laboratory promise to trial-grade batches

Cell therapies require tightly controlled production, testing and documentation before experimental treatments can enter clinical studies. Whether that capacity becomes a durable biotech advantage will depend on reproducible manufacturing, successful trials and demand from outside research teams—not the licence alone.
