FromSoftware and Bandai Namco released version 1.17 for Elden Ring on August 27, bringing a broad set of balance changes to PlayStation, Xbox and PC one day before the Tarnished Pack arrives. The free changes favor buffs over nerfs. Throwing attacks for the Smithscript Axe, Smithscript Spear and Spear of the Impaler now use less stamina and hit harder, while five Perfume Bottle types gain attack power. Parries and neglected builds move back into view
Parry performance has been improved, and players using daggers, curved swords or small shields can act sooner after activating the skill. The patch applies narrower restraints to several strong options. Rakshasa’s Great Katana now delays a follow-up from a right-hand weapon when the katana is held in the left, and PvP users take more damage while attacking with it. Rugalea’s Roar deals less damage against other players, while Rotten Breath and Ekzykes’s Decay produce shorter hit reactions in competitive play.rpgsite +1
